If someone had already used it, it would be great, but I think that knowing how to import and place such images would be enough. I also don’t know how to place this images in the exact position of the scanner. The final product is a scanner with true democratizing potential and popular appeal. The procedure followed in other software is to take a 360 image from the same point that the scanner is placed, but I don’t know if Pix4D accepts this type of images. Geoff Jacobs, Leica’s senior VP of strategic marketing, explained that the company brought in an entirely new product developer from outside the company to help shake up the project. The scanner gives a very accurate point cloud, but it doesn’t give a texture. Interoperabilityįully compatible with the Lecia Geosystems High-Definition Surveying (HDS) software suite and Autodesk’s design solutions.I wanted to know if it is possible and how to use the Leica BLK360 scanner in Pix4D. Those challenges were surmounted by the ingenuity of the development team who drew several exclusive technologies out of the Leica Geosystems portfolio and made them inclusive to the BLK360. The challenge to miniaturize an imaging scanner system without sacrificing on quality or accuracy was immense. Portabilityįlexibility to scan wherever, whenever with the small, lightweight imaging laser scanner that fits into a messenger bag. The BLK360 features the newest, integrated thermal camera technology. Two-in-one 360º image documentation and laser scan data. Push-button scanning that automatically stitches and registers in Cyclone FIELD 360, transferring seamlessly to Cyclone REGISTER 360 by Wi-Fi for final processing. On-the-fly image and point cloud processing in the field and auto-registration office workflows with Cyclone REGISTER 360.
Capture data, link scans on the fly, orbit the 3D point cloud and imagery, and capture field notes from your iOS or Android mobile-device.
Simple export of LGS or RCP files makes working with point cloud data downstream in the Leica Geosystems and Autodesk suites simple and efficient, allowing users to spend less time processing data and more time creating meaningful deliverables. With automated workflows in both software offerings, the BLK360 plus the software solution of your choice, dramatically streamlines the reality capture process thereby opening this technology to non-surveying individuals. Using Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 mobile-device app, the BLK360 streams image and point cloud data to an iPad or final project data to Cyclone REGISTER 360 or Cyclone REGISTER 360 (BLK Edition) via Wi-Fi. Anyone who can operate an iPad can now capture the world around them with high resolution 3D panoramic images. Simple to use with the single push of one button, the BLK360 is the smallest and lightest imaging laser scanner of its kind. The Leica BLK360 captures the world around you with full-colour panoramic images overlaid on a high-accuracy point cloud.
